Antique Selection
Although rug weaving in Persia goes back at least to the 15th Century, the antique carpets one encounters today date from no earlier than the late 19 century. Piled in high quality domestic wool, and employing natural dyes in traditional patterns, they were woven in scatters and room sizes especially for western markets.
