Antique Lori Pampak Kazak Rug – 150803

The brick red field of this Lori Pambak displays the characteristic ivory octagonal medallion with green cruciform stylised (palmettes?) central pattern. Unusually, there are hooked boxes above and below the central medallion instead and unusual hexagons.
The ivory main border has the defining Lori Pambak angular vine and star pattern within dark green and dark blue minors. The warp loops are intact at the lower end. The foundations is all wool with two brown wefts.
