This Shirvan rug has two columns of stepped hexagons finialed by red cartouches, in the Karagashli rug style. There are geometric fillers symmetrically scattered in the field. The main ivory border has a multicolored interlocking stylized” dragon” motif. Large Shirvans like this rug are quite rare.
