This overall pattern carpet has an angular rendition of the diagonal palmette and vine pattern of 17th century Kerman carpets. The detail colors are asymmetric around the central vertical axis. There are several layers of vines with tiny leaves as accents. The red border alternates cypresses and flowering shrubs.
