The field and border of this magnificent Sultanabad carpet are integrated through sharing the same oyster ground color. A field design of four pairs of giant two leaf arabesques frames a discreet center . Small arabesque leaves, palmettes and angular lines fill the skeletal corners, outline the medallion. and populate the background scatter. Among the detail colors is a distinctive cognac red brown as well as camel. The complementary border of double interlacing lines with palmette bosses and terminals surrounds the wholes.
