There are three nested layers of “herati” pattern composing the field of this antique Bijar; an anchor pendanted dark blue oval occupies the center, then a surrounding red cartouche and finally a light blue panel. The outer ivory and navy reciprocal border is most attractive and appears on better Bijar products.
